Show HANGING OF WOMEN NOT POPULAR WITH JURORS Special to Tho Tribune. PHILADELPHIA, April 1. An entire panel was exhausted in choosing a Jury to try Catherine Danz on the charge of murdering her husband, William G. Danz, by slow poisoning. -The last man on the panel completed the twelve who are to sit on the case. Nearly thirty of the jurors called failed to qualify, because they were opposed op-posed to hanging In general, or to hanging hang-ing a woman In particular. With one or two exceptions, tho 'twelve good men and true" who will decide whether Mrs. Danz Is guilty or Innocent are married, and have families. fami-lies. , Most of them are past middle ago and several of them are bald. In appearance ap-pearance they are far more Intelligent than the average Jury. |
