Show A BIG DICKER IN OIL km GAS Nearly 41,000 Acres of Land Secured by Local and Eastern Talent. With the zealous co-operation of Eastern Interests represented In the field by an experienced oil man, Benjamin Ben-jamin T. Lloyd yesterday clinched his grip upon no less than 40,800 acres of territory in the lake basin, and In few days will have folldwnd It with the organization or-ganization of a company as formidable as any now operating there. What the total of obligations Involved In the undertaking Mr. Lloyd did not divulge, but ho Is felicitating himself and his associates that their flag has been raised above a portion of the domain as valuable as any within It. As an evidence of Its merits Mr. Lloyd says that on every quarter section gas may bo Ignited at this time, while the expert ex-pert who has been with him in the Held says he considers the strip the likeliest within the basin. The territory terri-tory stretches for a distance of fifteen miles along the east baso of Antelope Island from the southern extreme to that on the north, and extends eastward to ground previously acquired by Mr. Lloyd west of Farmlngton nnd -subdividing the area now being prospected by the GufiTey & Galey company. Entering En-tering Into the whole are interests acquired of an army of persons, some of them farmers and others taken up by prospectors for oil, and as soon as conditions shall permit boring will have begun. A telegram from the East during the afternoon reassures Mr. Lloyd that the Interests there are eager to get the territory ter-ritory under drill and urges him to hasten his labors at thl3 end. He will be Joined by others on the ground In short time orders for the necessary rigging rig-ging to be placed without delay. Cooko and Party. Messrs. Cooke, Balby and Munnell of Waynesburg, Pa., who have long been actively identified with tho industry, visited the field yesterday, accompanied by J. M. Johnson, E. W. Senior and Henry S. Driver. They were most favorably fa-vorably Impressed with the prospects and will be heard from later.
