MAY APPOINT MIDSHIPMAN Senator Kearns Notified That He Can Make One Selection 1jlrCKI 8151 AJ 1 Washington March 2G Notification was today made to Senator Kearns by Secretary of Navy Moody that the former was given the privilege of making mak-ing ole appointment as midshipman in the t United States navy and that examination ex-amination will be held either at Salt Lake or Ogden on April 21st Senator Kearns will ale In Salt Lake City on next Saturday afternoon Should he find It Impossible to arrange for satisfactory satis-factory examination on April 21st the TJtah candidates for that examination will be given special examination In Washington on May 12th Senator KcariiK will nominate one principal and one alternate as a result of this cxaml naiion which the Senator is expected Ilo arrange as soon as lie arrives at his hOI on Sunday This examination interfere and these appointments in no way terfere with those accorded Congressman Congress-man llowell and which A th1i occur in Suit Lake early next month
