| Show We are not able to understand the fight that appears to be making on Indian In-dian Agent II P Myton His term is about to expire and the only hypothesis on which tinAlleged charges against him are cxplalnuulc Js that those who file them imagine that he may be a candidate can-didate for reappointment which he Is not As to the charges themselves they appear to be rather vague There seems to be substance to the idea that the traders arc making them for they have always and nil been friendly with the Agent the intoxicalion charge is probably prob-ably a misapprehension while the alleged al-leged charges by Indians can hardly be serious aince Major Mylons constant effort has been to protect them At all events he is i entitled to a clearance from these t charges A good many flings have been made against him during his term now about to expire as they are always made against Indian agents but In every case Major Myton has been triumphantly acquitted of blame We do not doubt that this will be the case with the charges now on file > |
