Show DAY OF REST FOR CLYDE FELT Youthful Slayer of Collins Spends the Day QuietlyWith Few Visitors Vis-itors Collins Was Buried Friday I c I The Sabbath was a day of test for Clyde Felt the first since he confessed that he was with Samuel Collins when he came tohis death In Hells hollow For twentyfour hour the stream of questions and confessions was dammed up Still Cljde was not lonesome In his cell at the county jalOnc of his first visltorH was his father who stayed with him an hour Later an artist called and sketched him He was seen every few minutes by the jailer In the afternoon he sent word to the Jail office that he wanted to sec tho jai In charge The Jailer responded to the summons and was told by the young prisoner that ho wanted a cocoanut and some bananas As all the stores were closed it was Impossible Impos-sible to fill the entire order but the cocoanut WHO procured County Attorney Chrlstcnsen called on Clyde later in the afternoon and l asked how ho waa getting along but did not talk about the Collins < c Mr Chrlstensen thinks of filing a complaint com-plaint today He says the charge is technically murder in the first degree but on account of the circumstances he has not yet decided to place this charge against the boy Hundreds people traversed the path to the cave where Collins was found tho Sunday before yesterday morning and afternoon There wore men women nnd quite a few children among tho curious ones The body of Collins was burled by Mortician Joseph William Taylor last Friday afternoon at the expenoo of the county A plain pine coffin received the remains which now rest In the county plat in the City cemetery Clyde docs not relish his life in the Jill and frequently expresses his desire de-sire to return to liberty und his parents but he shows no comprehension comprehen-sion of the seriousness oi tho matter in which he is involved J i |
