Show I SHOE FACTORY SOCIAL Employees and Managers Make Merry in Many Ways in Their Annual An-nual Function Yesterday was a day of eating and merrymaking mer-rymaking I for the factory employees of the Z C M L who were the hosts at the annual banquet social and dance given tinder the auspices of the Factory Amusement Amuse-ment association At 11 a in the members assembled In the main hall of the factory which was beautifully decorated and draped with national na-tional bunting and large flags They were entertained by the members of the reception recep-tion committee until noon when the doors of the banquet hall were thrown open The hall was decorated with pink and white bunting over the two long rows or tables were stretched lines of colored incandescent In-candescent lights from which extended beautiful evergreen trimmings neatly and artistically arranged Covers were laid for ItO During the course of the banquet several I sev-eral short speeches were delivered Superintendent I Su-perintendent T G Webber the first speaker congratulated the employees on their work during the past year and also expressed the opinion that the facilities of the factory would soon bo enlarged so as to Increase the present output three tines George Romncy and Henry Dln woodey representing tho executive board also complimented the employees and slated that goods were now being shipped as far off as Canada President Winder made a few congratulatory remarks re-marks After the banquet the following programme was rendered Vocal duet Misses Florence and Helen Davidson Recitation Wlllard layman Piano solo Irwln Larson Recitation Perkins Soprano solo Miss Ruby Morley Tubaphone solo Adclbcrt Becsley Instrumental duet A Brewster and Herman Grother The hall was then cleared and the dancers danc-ers enjoyed themselves until evening performing all tho old and new dances to the strains of Olsen orchestra At tho conclusion of the dance S2 was given to each employee as a Christmas present from the management |
