Show PIONEER CALLED Another of Ogdens Old and Highly Esteemed Citizens Dead Another o Ogdens old and highly CBtccmed citizens passed away yesterday yester-day afternoon In the person of Robert Jk Griffin Mr Griffin died at his home near the Wasatch canning factory at 4 oclock of neuralgia of the heart after af-ter an lllneHB of about ten weeks His wife and two children were at his bedside bed-side when he passed away Robert J Griffin was born at Canton Pa sixty years ago last month and later removed re-moved with his parents to Iowa where he enlisted In the Thirtysecond Iowa volunteers and served through the Civil war He came to Utah in 188S and about ten years ago was married to a daughter of the late Richard Hill a sister of Mrs J F Glmlln He was an uncle of H L > Griffin of the H L Griffin Commission company and of S J Griffin of Blackman Griffin He was 0 contractor and builder by trade and bore the highest respect and confidence con-fidence of all who knew him The date of the funeral has not been fixed but will likely be Monday afternoon at the Baptist church |
