Show WEELY HEALTH REPORT The report of births to the Board of TIealllr for the week ending September 19th shows an increase of 2 births over the week before and a decrease of 2 as compared with the same week of lost year The total number reported was 10 b of which 17 were males and 23 females fe-males The death rate for the samq period is Higher than either last week or the corresponding week of 1902 20 deaths having1 been reported 13 males and 7 females 1 in excess of the preceding pre-ceding I week and more than double the same week last year when 9 I deaths were reported The mortality this week was greatest among adults over 40 years of age il deaths having occurred among people over that age At the close of the 1 last report there were 5 capes remaining in quarantine of this number 3 recovered and were released and none having been reported report-ed left 2 cases in detention at the close of this report One case of diphtheria Is now in quarantine this being one of the two held over from last week no new cases having developed this leaves the city on the verge of Immunity from this disease For the same weel of last year there were 8 cases In quarantine The smallpox situation Was changed by the Importation of a prematurely discharged dis-charged case from Soda Springs Ida making a totalof 4 I cases In quarantine the same number as reported a year agoThe The new cases of typhoid fever reported re-ported during the week make the weekly week-ly aggregate just double that of a year ago there were 28 cases reported during dur-ing the week with two fatalities making mak-ing a total of 94 cases reported since September 1st The following were the new cases reported re-ported yesterday m llalph Shepherd aged 15 170 A street Mnt George Dcrn aged 26 30 H street and the tenyear old son of Dr Burrows living at No 7 Hustle court |
