Show VIOLENT COLLISION OF WHEELS Two Boys Fred Kent and Howard Garrison Seriously Injured and Their Wheels Badly Smashed A thudlike bang a crash an involuntary In-voluntary cry and two boys lay rolling In the dust on Second Soulh street In front of lie Lutheran church corner of Fourth East at 130 oclock yesterday yester-day while two badlybroken bicycles layclose by There was a rush of bystanders by-standers to raise the unconscious forms of the two boys and carry them to the sidewalk where one of them Fred Kent aged JC tljc son of Conductor F L Kent of the City Railway company was recognized and carried hastily to hio home 3119 East Second South street The other boy Howard Garrison aged t 13 son of John S Garrison n mining man of 20 Emery street was not recognized recog-nized but was carried In a carriage passing by to the office of Dr Behle in the Galena block where his Injuries were attended to while Dr Stuart way called In by airs Kent to attend her son Young Kent was suffering from three loosened teeth which may ho saved a badlyinjured left eye and gashes on time back of his head His cut gums bled so freely that he swallowed so much blood that he became sick Young Garrison lost a front tooth his forehead was terribly bruised ajnd there were gashes on his head ills father was sent for and took the boy home The wrecked wheels were streaked with blood The boys when asked for particulars after they had regained consciousness were more or less confused but managed man-aged to talk Young Garrison who is employed at Fosters candy store under the Galena block had been sent up to Mr Fosters house on an errand and young Kent was returning from doing an errand for his mother on lie eastside east-side They were both going at a pretty good gait but with heads up and hands on the bars so they claimed Their stories as to Just how they came to foul each other do not agree but both appear ap-pear to have become contused and excited ex-cited and they failed to steer clear of each other |
