Show EROS FOUND AGAIN Tiny Planet Rediscovered Ly Denver Observe Denver Cole May 2SWhile Prof H A HoW was waiting this morning about J oclock in the Chamberlain observatory ob-servatory for the sun to rise and the eclipse to begin he made one of the most Important observations of th year the rediscovery of the planet Eros This tiny planet which was discovered dis-covered only two years ago at the Berlin Ber-lin observatory has been looked for since last September the time when according to calculations It should emerge from behind the sun Astronomers Astrono-mers all over the world have been scanning the skies for It but without success Prof Howe discovered the planet near the first point of Aries According to Prof Howes observations observa-tions of the eclipse the first contact occurred at 5 oclock II minutes and 22C seconds and the last contact nt 7 oclock 37 minutes and 340 seconds This showed an error In the calculations calcula-tions of the nautical almanac which gave the time of the first contact as S oclock 44 minutes and 251 seconds and the last contact at 7 oclock 30 minutes min-utes and 08 seconds |
