BOTH PARTIES TO NOMINATE C Republicans Democrats Will Contest I Con-test for County Superintendency Judging from present Indications there Js practically no doubt that there will be two nominees Superintendent Superintend-ent of County Schools in Salt Lake county in the Held thla fall In the last election which occurred two years ago the Republicans and Democrats agreed to mak the nomination nonpartisan t non-partisan and the trustees of the county coun-ty school districts got together and named Oscar Van Cott who was of course elected I 0 I Mr Van Cott has now served In this capacity continuously since Statehood i and both Democrats and Republicans I win object to Ufa tenure in office arc Insisting that there should be a I change Mr Van Cott is also being strongly opposed within the ranks of I his own party by the friends of David MolTsitt who JfJ J principal of the Mill I I Creek schools and a Democrat of innr I rnCJ standing Among the Republicans who are be ing Mpokei of in connection with the 0 nomination are R 1 McCarty of San dy Franklin Bell of Murray and W II Lyon of Union 0 0 The election will occur on July Dth but so far neither party has mad any definite arrangements relative to the holding of primaries or conventions
