Show UOURNEYOFTIIE DEM3 Funeral Train Comes From the Stricken Town BEARING FIFTYONE BODIES Remains of Victims of the Great Disaster Dis-aster Conveyed to Their Old Homes I for Interment Sad Scenes nt the Various Stations at Which the Bodies Were Delivered to Sorrowing Sorrow-ing Relatives Eight Brought to I Salt Lake and Arrangements Made for Burial I The funeral train which ran from Scofleld to Ogdcn yesterday was the most solemn and Impressive train which ever ran through Utah The train which left Scoficla at 1 oclock yesterday afternoon bore fiftyone bodies and an Imincnse crowd oC mourners The care were All draped In black and white with rosettes of white on each car At almost every station along the route a vast crowd had assembled the great number of vehicles In sight Indicating that many hundreds of people drove in from the country to witness the passage of the train At Thistle the bodies of Wil Ham A Nelson and Dan Williams were put off the former being consigned to Elslnore and the latter to Yermllllon At Springnlle where an unusually large crowd had gathered the Spanish Fork bodies wove transferred They were those of Dan Pitman John Pitman Pit-man Evan Kvons Louis Leyshon and W K Douglas The bodleo of the following fol-lowing residents of Springville were also left at that point Morgan Miller Mil-ler William Miller John Miller John T Davis John O Davis George O Davis Tho body of John Kirton was consigned con-signed to Lehl in obedience to a tele grain from his wife The relatives and friends had expected to have It delivered de-livered at Sprlngvllle but as It was addressed to Lehl the railway inca did not feel like putting it off at another address While the occasion was too I solemn for anything approaching an altercation there was nevertheless much disappointment and many tears at the misunderstanding The body was earned through to Lehl but there were no relatives or friends to receive it there At Provo the bodies of William Par mley Thomas James and William Gatherum D D Evans and George Langstaff were left The remains of Sam Paderfleld and David J Paderfield were put off at American Fork and the following were left In Salt Lake Willie James and Alex Wilson Jr Nicola Anselmo Joseph Mayo G Farina Fa-rina Tonio bib and Christ Johnson The following bodies for Ogden and Coalvllle passed on through to Ogden John Daid William Adam Robert James A and John boy Hunter Frank Strang Frank Strarg Jr and R Stewart of Ogden and Charles Edwards Ed-wards Samuel LIvesey Richard Dixon Dix-on David llllngworth William Clark Jr William Ullathomo John and George James Georgo Clark William Clark and Walter Clark |
