beheld Friday and Saturday May 15th and 19lh In the Assembly hall This Is the third annual meeting of the association and the attractive programme and interesting in-teresting subjects to be dealt with in sue Its success sucn suDjects as udiutninjiuii lle paratlon for Parenthood Rights of Children Physical and Ethical Relation Re-lation of Parent to the School etc I will be handled by such wellknown j i speakers as George M 1 Cannon Mrs Lucrella Kimball William M Stewart and many others whose names will be announced later on the programme I One afternoon will be devoted to the little ones when childrens stories chil drens songs and home occupations will be given NoL only are these subjects I to bo treated upon in the usual lecture form but the stories are to be told and i I the songs sung and the mothers are I I expected 101 bring > their children to hear I them I One evening of this Mothers congress k 1 con-gress Is to be devoted to the Interests and duties of fathers and a large attendance I at-tendance is hoped for as the subjects J I to be presented will be of the greatest < I I I importance to Ifarents and all whose sympathies lie with the proper training 1 I train-ing and development of the little ones The ofllclal progiamme will be ready for publication in a day or iwo I and In addition to the subjects mentioned and others of a like nature some fine ladles present The subject fcfor t discussion I was The Women Authors of Utah Miss Munroe spoke of Mrs Ellison and her book Nadine which she very ably reviewed reaching occasionally JIPs passages which were t much en fj y r especially the beautiful poem I easel at Sallah Mrs Dykes fcpoksof the poetess S E Carmichael and read two of her poems The Mines and Good Bye Right Arm Afiss Jessup favored them with some ti t eailtiful vocal selections end Mss I Mpltle Holt with some fine piano play I Ing A dainty lunch was served and all voted the evening a most enjoyable I enjoy-able one Woman Club Last Tuesday at the Womans club Mrs J B A M Frolseth read an excel lent paper relating to childrens early religious training and the fit methods and Intelligent letting alone lo be commended com-mended therefor The paper was rich in suggestions and the subject most Interestingly and ably treated May Pth a business meeting will occupy oc-cupy the club hour and the annual election of officers will be held Club Chat 1 The Reviewers meet Monday with Mrs Nelden Mrs Kelsey will read a paper on Carlyle o The executive committee of the U F W C has been called together for Saturday the iLth at the Ladles Literary Lit-erary clubhouse v f e v The quarters of the Utah delegation delega-tion in Milwaukee will be at Hotel Blatz J f + Miss Yardley entertained the College club on Monday evening at her home In Perkins addition The Authors met with Mrs Grant on Wednesday 0 eAt e-At the regular monthly meeting of the Womans Press club on Monday evening quotations from Ruskin were given by the members Miss Bessie Shirley read a paper on Mines and Mining This was followed by an informal I In-formal talk by Mn C S Richards on her experiences In Washington during dur-ing the Womuns Suflrage convention A discussion by the members on the Bent Wav to Obtain Obedience from Children brought the meeting to a close a Kindergartens and kindergarten j methods were diactissctd at the meeting C meet-Ing of the Reapers club on Monday A very Interesting description of the gifts etc was given by airs Georgia Fox Young Illustrated by the articles used In teaching kindergarten methods
