Show I i w0i f fl t Wors Mb I Council of Womens Clubs I The annual meeting of the Council I of Womens clubs which was to have been held yesterday afternoon was postponed until October next a motion having been carried amending the bylaws by-laws so that the annual election will hereafter be held at that time The changing of the name of the council and other matters proposed at the last meeting was therefore deferred until tho annual meeting In October Tho kindergarten queation which has so often been brought before the council was again a matter of discussion dis-cussion yesterday Miss May was present pres-ent and thought It would be wise to agitate the matter during the summer months The delegates present were Instructed to report the matter to their respective clubs and ask their aid In the support of the club kindergarten l suRgtstod some time since It was reported re-ported too that a committee from the State Kindergarten association consisting of Mesdames W S McCor nick and Nellie Little and from the educational section of the U F W C consisting of Mrs Georgia Fox Young and Mrs W A Nelden trom the Council Coun-cil of Womens clubs would visit the Board of Education on Tuesday evening even-ing and request of that body that a L room be supplied in which to open a kindergarten 1 In tire fall Miss May reported that tine mothers In the vicinity of tjip Fjrnersqn school have decided to open a kindergarten in connection with the school In the t fall while the mothers In the Webster district who hae supported that RIm dergarten for the past two years hae decided that they will have the kindergarten kinder-garten moved lo tin central part of town where It I Is badly I needed whether wheth-er the club women support the movement move-ment or not Mrs A VTaylor bi behalf I of Mrs Couller made the suggestion that the club women of Utah provide a fund to nay the expenses of a club woman from the outside to attend the annual meeting of the Utah federation In the tall Mrs Coulter was anxious that some promlcnt speaker among the club women of the country bo asked to address the Utah women at their regular meeting and as SIne will attend at-tend the biennial at Milwaukee thought it would be wise to arrange the matter while tljere taking with her a sum HutUcIent to defray at least a portion of the expenses of the visitor 1 visit-or The matter will be referred to 1 the clubs by i the delegates present I yesterday Those present yesterday were Mrs W A Nelden of the Ladles Literary Miss Well of the Cloofan Mrs Schil ler Utah Womans Ple Mrs A V Taylor Woman club Mrs Pearsall the Inquirers V |
