Show Hereford Entries Win Fair Awards Hereford entries made a clean sweep of the top awards in steer judging at the recent Utah State Fair, Salt Lake City, and then added to their victories with a quality breeding show. Large crowds witnessed each event. Gerald Lamb. Morgan, became be-came the envy of all exhibitors hhen his Hereford steers were named the grand and reserve champions of the show. The grand championship ribbon was won by Gerald's lightweight entry. Champion sale steer also went to a Hereford entry, shown by Hal Rees, Morgan. Tom Thack-ery, Thack-ery, Morgan, won the reserve championship honors with a Hereford from the middleweight class. In the breeding show, Grassland Grass-land Hereford Ranch, Drum-mond, Drum-mond, Mont., and Winterton Bros.. Kamas. eauallv shared all first-place ribbons. Grassland Hereford Ranch won eight blue ribbons, champion bull and reserve re-serve champion female honors. Winterton Bros, received the honors for the champion female, reserve champion bull and eight class wins. Beau Promise 278, a two-year-old, was declared the top bull for Grassland. The senior yearlir heifer, Lady Promise 95, won the reserve championship champion-ship award.
