Show Lavina S. Chettle Elected Head of Democratic Women Election of officers for the year 1961-62 of the Salt Lake County Democratic Women's Study Club was held at Neighborhood Neigh-borhood House Friday, April 14, with Ardelle Miller, president, presiding. The following women were elected: Lavina S. Chettle, president; Hannah Crookston, first vice-president; vice-president; Virginia Ward, second vice president; Rena L. Loomis, corresponding secretary; Florence Flor-ence Catmull, recording secretary; secre-tary; Ardelle Miller, treasurer; Ora Roe, auditor. The newpresident stated that a campaign for an increase in membership and more active participation in the various activities ac-tivities of the club will be the aim of the new officers during the coming year. A well rounded program is promised and will be tailored to meet the needs of the Democratic Demo-cratic women so that all will be informed. Installation of officers will be held Friday, May 12, at Neighborhood Neigh-borhood House at 1:00 p.m. All Democratic women are invited. |
