The inaugural grandstand committee com-mittee hopes to be able to discourage dis-courage all those birds who are expecting to , get free seats for the inaugural parade. In this case, the birds are real, and the seats are the limbs of trees which overhang the grand stands along the parade route. The grandstand committee has let a $5500 contract to American Building Cleaning Contractors to bird proof 44 trees between 10th Street and 17th Street on the route that the 1961 inaugural parade will follow. Bird proofing the trees will involve having the limbs sprayed with Roost-No-More, a material which is highly repulsive to birds. It is alleged |
