Show Telephone Firm Gains Honor Mountain States Telephone Company has received the 1957 certificate of "Excellence in Management" Man-agement" awarded by the American Ameri-can Institute of Management, according ac-cording to H. K. Richmond, local district manager. The certificate was granted after the Institute completed a systematic, 10-point examination of the firm's management man-agement operations and accomplishments accom-plishments for last year. The Institute is a non-profit research and educational organization organi-zation with headquarters in New York City. In completing the management survey, the following follow-ing 10 phases of operation were taken into consideration: Corporate Cor-porate structure, service to share owners, economic function, research re-search and development, directorate directo-rate analysis, fiscal policies, production pro-duction efficiency, sales vigor, and executive evaluation. Walter K. Koch, president of the Mountain States Telephone company, stated, "I am personally person-ally gratified that our company has merited this citation. It is a fine tribute to the directors, officers of-ficers and entire employee body. We all will continue to make every effort to operate our business busi-ness in such a manner that we can furnish the best possible service at the lowest possible cost consistent with fair treatment treat-ment to customers, share owners own-ers and employees, and within the bounds of financial safety." |
