Show Nevada Democrat Sees Aid for hhlnmg Industry Democratic Senator Alan Bible, stopping briefly in Salt Lake City this week, said that increased in-creased tariff protection and quotas probably will provide the ultimate answers to western mining industry's problems. The Nevada Democrat said he believed this to be the most effective ef-fective approach to relieving the distressed industry. He said he was hopeful the U. S. Tariff Commission would make a start in this direction by making a favorable recommendation recommend-ation on the petition of the lead-zinc lead-zinc industry for tariff relief. "I am hopeful too," he added, "that Secretary of the Interior Fred Seaton will have something constructive to propose when he appears before the Congressional committees dealing with this problem."
