Show Medical Association To Present Coveted Award Presentation of the annual Award of Merit of the Utah State Medical Association will highlight the first spring season session of the medical group's House of Delegates, Association President, Dr. Reed W. Farns-worth, Farns-worth, Cedar City, reported this week. The presentation ceremony will follow the daylong April 9 delegates dele-gates meeting in Salt Lake City, with the award to be given "to the non-medical person who has made a major contribution to health or medicine during the past year." Past recipients of the coveted award have included former Gov. J. Bracken Lee, medical writer William Patrick of the Salt Lake Tribune, and Carl Frischnecht, director of the Extension Service, Serv-ice, Utah State University. As is customary, the name of the award recipient will not be made public until the presentation ceremony. Utah State Medical Association officials, anticipating attendance of physicians from all areas of Utah at the House of Delegates meeting, noted that this is the first time the sessions are being conducted on a semi-annual basis. ba-sis.
