Show Hard Work Won for Democrats What won the election for Utah Democrats ? You will find all kinds of answers to this question from people who claim to know. But one is obvious to all. Hard work on the part of the candidates themselves and by party leaders and ordinary partv workers was the main reason for the victory. Both Frank E. Moss and Davis S. King, as well as all the county candidates, worked hard to win. They were out from morning to night almost every day, shaking hands, meeting voters, discussing the issues. Behind the scenes, directing the overall campaign, were the vigorous state and county organizations. The Salt Lake County Democratic organization, headed by Laurel J. Brown, was particularly active throughout the campaign, as was the state organization headed by Richard C. Howe. The hard-working Democrats were in contrast to their Republican counterparts. And the results prove it. |
