YV.-A Plumber's Row Notes '.. m; Crime. ; ' ., . . ; lit nignV Mrs. ""Alfred Roberts went be-ff.nuaiasUmcr be-ff.nuaiasUmcr Pratt and swore to a com" plaint charging her husband with intent to commit rape upon Anna McGowan, his 15-year-old stepdaughter. Roberts was arrested ar-rested by Deputy Sheriff Cummock and he will probably have an examination today. At last accounts he had not succeeded in finding sweties and was confined in the county jail. Roberts is an inoffensive looking little man, about 40 years of age and is one of the proprietors of the barber shop under the White House. It seems that his wife has sued him for a divorce and he insists that the whole thing is a put up job. Took His Horse. Thomas Simpson this morning swore out a warrant charging E. Ford with taking his horse from his, Simpson's, lawful custody. Ford was arrested. Dismissed. The case The People vs. B. T. Hutchison, charged with' grand larceny, was dismissed by Commissioner Moyer this morning, there being no evidence against him. |
