Tintic Tunnel Company. The Tintic tunnel company has filed of incorporation with County Clerk Allen. The object of this corporation is to conduct the business of mining and milling of ores, smelting, leaching, concentrating, buying and selling of ores, and to do nil things that are in any way appertaining to mines, mining and reduction of ores. The capital stock is $1,350,000, divided into 500, 000 shares, at $350 each. The principal oliice shall be in Salt Lake. The capital stock is secured by the follow-ing mining claims and lodes situated in the Bp! Tintic mining district, Juab county: The lliur Eastern, Protection. Mammoth, Tintic Tunnel, and other claims kuown as the East Bay. The following is the amount of stock held by each of the incorporators: Johu Beck, 40.01.0 shares; A. E. Hyde, 40.000; L. G. Hardy, 10,000; J. W". Fox, jr., 10,000; W. H. Roye, 10,000; S.'S. Jones, 40,000; C. E. Loose, 30,000. The officers sod directors for the ensuing year are: Johu Beck, president; W. II. ilowe. vice president; A. E. Hyde, treasurer, L. G. Hardy, secretary, and these, with.J. W. Fox, jr.,. S. S. Jones, and C. E. Loose, constitute trie board of directors. Three Slick Gents. Three well dressed men were arrested this mornintr by officers Sheets and Wilson in front of the Temple block as "vags." The Lead ,'ljrket. Chamberlain dc Co.'s Bepori; The lead market of the country has shown very little movement at any of the distributing points. New York has been the dullest of all aud that is saying volumes, since the total trans-actions reported there did not exceed 300 tons ut 1.22.; for the round pan els and 4'J5 for retail lots. St. Louis gradually strength-ened to 4.05 but reported sales of about 500 tons, while Chicago braced up a bit aud sold 1100 tons at4.071.-- ,' and previously at 4.05. An important strike of lead ore has been made in Southern California, and miners are Hock-ing to it, but in general mining districts arc showing less activity owing to the low price ol silver. The following ruies for the refunding of illegally collected school taxes were adopted: First The board of education will refund only such money as it received, and will re-fund that in full without rebate or discount. Second The payment shall be made ac-cording to and precisely following the list furnished this board by Collector Hardy. Third A form of check and stub wiili re-ceipt. Fourth Two rubber stamps shall be pro- cured by tiie clerk, one to stamp on the face of the tax-recei- presented the words: "Special school tax of 1".H), refunded by hoard of education."
