Show LIBERAL CITY CONVENTION. The Liberal city convention will be held at the Walker pavilion ill Salt Lake City on Thursday, the 2Mh day of January, 1 898. The convention will be called to order at 12 o'clock, noon, and will be held for the pur-pose pur-pose of nominating a major, recorder, treasurer, assessor a. id collector, and marshal, to bo supported at the ensuiug municipal election, and for the election of a i hairmau and live members of .lie city committee. com-mittee. The city convention will be composed of 0(H) delegates and the representation from tlie varloitB precincts will be as follows: First precinct, 40; Second, (10: Third, 4M; Fourth, 80; Pi'th, 40. The Liheral precinct, conventions, held for the purpose of nominating from each, three members of the Salt Lake City council and to elect delegates to the city conven t tion. and for the election of delccates to the count) convention, to be held on Saturday, the .'kith day of January, lo select delegates to the territorial convention, to be held in Salt Lake City on February 4, 188S, will be held on the evening of January 26, 1808, at S o'clock, as follows ! First, prerinet, Nmtli Ward school house ; Second precinct, at the AValkcr pavilion; Third precinct, at Seven teenlh Ward school house; Fourth precinct, at Twentieth Ward school house, and Fifth precinct, at the Twelfth Ward school hollae. The Firsl precinct convention will be composed of HO delegates, the Second of ITU delegates, the third of IM delegates, the Fourth of til) delegates and the Fifth of ", delegates. The ward primaries of the Liberal pnrti, held for the purpose of electing delegates to the precinct conventions, will be held on the evening of the lid day of January, 1X02. School house :i The voting will lie by ballot, and the primaries will be conducted by the olliccrs of the ward clubs. Where no officers exist, the Liberals present will select them and the secrctery of the ward club will send names of such officers to liberal headquarters. No person will ite entitled to vote unlcs., liis name app ars on the ward club list, or is known to the judges of the primary or is vouched for by some reputable liberal of th ward, aud also thereupon signs the list of the ciub.
