Show LACK Of MONEY. Two Suit Lake Kirms io to Ihe Wall Yesterday Yes-terday Afternoon. Two Salt Lake firm went to the wall yesterday yes-terday and turned down their business, aids. One ot them was the well known c lothing firm of A. 8. Sipperley A: Co , who opened business in the Morlan block in Second South street about three months ago. The, firm was composed of A. F. Sipperley and U.S. I.ee. They established their business at the dullest season of the year, and the laek of sufficient capital to tide them past the winter into the Hush spring trade cau-eil t tic suspension. The firm assigned its assets to Prank W. Boss for the benefit of creditors. The liabilities amount to 148,841, and the claims preferred to creditors amount to tin,(i!K). The assets are at present an unknown un-known quantity. Judge Judd, the Arm's attorney, at-torney, has riled with the county recoador the following dee d of a-sig.iiucnt giving the full list of preferred creditors: IIEKD OK ASSIGNMENT. The other failure recorded yesterday was that of the Nordeu liroccry company, doing business at do West First South streets. It assigned for Ihe henellt of its creditors appointing ap-pointing Charles Sansome assignee. The: exact liabilities and assets have, not yet been determined. The company has about Slim worth of credits on its Imoks and if half of this amount can be collected, tho assignee says that all obligations could be nu t and business resumed. |
