Show RESCUING THE DEAD. SIXTEEN MORE BODIES FOUND IN THE RUINS OF THE HOTEL ROYAL. All bat Three Were Those of Women--The Work of Clearing; Away the Debris in the Cellr Commenced This Morning. New York, Feb. 9. At 3 o'clock this morning the whole force of men at work on the ruins of the Hotel Royal, commenced to clear aw ay the debris In the cellar under the dining room and near the elevator shaft and staircase. Three hours later the sixteenth six-teenth body was unearthed. All but three of the bodies found this morning were those of women, but none of them w ere identified. One body was identified this morning. It was No. ti and was recognized as Miss iarah Blalie of Shcldonvillc, Mass. At 2 o'clock there was found the badly burned unrecognizable body of a woman with a shawl wrapped around her head. |
