At the meeting of tho territorial central cen-tral committee on the people's party in Social hall this afternoon the following resolutions were unanimously adopted. Whereas, A radical change has taken place in the political situation in this territory, the progressive people of various var-ious parlies having determined to bury old strifes, to dissolve merely local combinations, and to make national questions paramount; Whereas, Iloth Democrats and Republicans Re-publicans who formerly united with tho so called "Liberal" party for the purpose pur-pose of overcoming the People's party have severed that connection and have organized under their respective party titles and principles; Whereas, Flach of these organizations organiza-tions has repudiated, the "liberal" policy pol-icy designed to destroy the political liberties of the majority of our people aud have declared nirauist disfranchisement disfranchise-ment except for crime determined by due process of law; Whereas, They h ive invited thu citi- vanu nf Ir.,li Vn rt r, 1 1 .e r( ti I fl r, mi i in religious views, to join with them in working for the political redemption of this territory. Whereas, Tlie'ehief necessity for the existence of the People's party has been the compact union and destructive designs de-signs of the ''Liberal'' faction which is now in process of reluctant dissolu- tion : , Whereas, Th i people's party has always al-ways cherished the great principles of popular sovereignty, local self government govern-ment and natio ml supremacy in national na-tional affair, which both the great f.v-tional f.v-tional p-trties recognize, wh.le diffcriog as to minor matter; Whereas, Several of the county organizations orga-nizations of the people's party have determined de-termined that the t ine has come when they can safely dissolve their local parly associations, and can labor more efficiently both for the welfare of Utah find the growth and glory of the United States by uniting with one or other j of the national parlies: I And whereas, ll is desirable that the I dissensions and struggles which have heretofore hindered the development j and progress of this territory should bo 1 left behind and obliterated in the march I of its people toward their high destiny, j Now.therefore.be it resolved, that! it is the ene of the territorial central '. j committee of the people's party of 1 'tah, J that thu party throughout the territory j should dissolve and leave its members j free to unite with the great national : parties nceording to their individual j preferences.
