A Ton s reporter was shown a sample of galena ore this morning morn-ing which came from a .uew strike made on Monday in Grants-vilie Grants-vilie district. Tho location of the new discovery is within lour miles of Carl-i Carl-i ton and was made by the Hudson liros. ! They opened the lead t3 the depth of a few 'feet aud have stripped cli' the surface sur-face so as to prove that the ledge is twelve and one-half feet wide of no.irly solid galena. Assays run 80 ounces in silver -aud i0 per cent lead. This enormous enor-mous ve'ti of ore has been opened along its course for a distance of thirty feet, and looks like a strong, permanent lode.
