As used in iron : sinks the depression ordinarily occupied by the strainer is attached to the bottom bot-tom of the cup by screws passing through the holes. The whole device is then fastened to ' the 6ink, in that manner making it per-' per-' fecfly nir and gas tight. The device is I perfectly simple and clean, and cannot ' possibly get out of order. No rubbish or solid matter affects it, but is stopped on the ontttide, where it can bo p-adily cleaned off, and thus kept from entering the pipes, tho cost and annoyance of which every householder knows.
