Show Snow Two Mllp Deep. "Yes, I have been in a country where the snow is two miles deep," said N. B. Lazard, a mining expert from Tombstone, Tomb-stone, A. T. Mr. Lazard was in the east during the recent snow storm, and was talking about what the people in Pennsylvania Penn-sylvania called a blizzard. "They thought the two foot fall of snow was something to talk about," continued con-tinued the visitor, "bnt if they would visit Alaska about 200 miles up the Yukon Yu-kon river they would find snow that for miles is so thick that the banks almost reach the skies. If it keeps on accumulating accumu-lating as fast as it has during the last ten years scientific men will not be able to say truthfully the earth is round." Chicago Tribune, |
