Show lllltlKD SIDE BV situ;. Hwtlwnd and Wife Who Committed Self Murder T.tid Away, Middlktown, N. Y., July 12. Mr. and Mrs. George T. Dorler, a young couple from New York city, moved into the town of Rockland, Sullivan county, last winter, and began building a summer sum-mer hotel on the banks of the Beaver Kill. Saturday last they had their house nearly completed and were about to open it fcr city guests. That evening even-ing they had an angry altercation, and soon after the wife left the house aud did not return. Next morning her dead body was found lying in ashallow pool of the Beaver Kili, wnere she had drowned herself. When the body had been taken to the house," the grief-stricken grief-stricken husband locked himself in the room with it and lirod a pistol bullet into his brain. Coroner Miller, of Rockland, held an inquest, and tho juj y returned a verdict of suicide in both cases.. The evidence- tended to show that jealousy ou the part of Dorler led to.th'e quarrel. The unhappy pair were hurled yesterday side by side in the old Beaver'Klll cemetery. |
