From McCammon toOxford, a distance of twenty-eight mile, they have followed fol-lowed the old track aud the crossing and recrossing of the iuiitow gauge tracks has caused inlluite trouble and taken up a major portiou of the time put on tho work.. Ties are now being distributed along tin) thirty -tivn ' mile from Ogdeii to Dcweviiilo and Mr. McCartney said that the work would be completed early In September. The pnly thing that may possibly cause delay now is the scarcity of ties. For years back there ha been no demand for tics in tills country except for repair re-pair work, and the sudden demand this year has over taxed tlic capacities of all the mills. - Nearly a million ties wiil be used ou the I'tah As Northern and ou the I'iocho extension alone this year. |
