Forward of the First Baptist church prefaced his sermon last night by reading from the second book of Joshua: "And if it seem evil unto you to servo the Lord, choose this day whom yo will serve." At the Firt Presbyterian church yesterday yes-terday morning. Dr. It. (J. McNieee was in his place, after his vacatiou, to preach the opening sermon of the new year of christian work.
