Show lie Wan Not the Man for the Weat. Sioux City Journal. As has been foreshadowed, Charles Fraucis Adams yesterday submitted his resignation as presidont of the Union Pacific, and it was accepted. Mr. Adams' administration of tho great property of the Union Pacific has not been a success. It has been in violation of the best rules laid down by successful railroad men. He has made himself unpopular with railroad men everywhere. He has shown no sympathy sym-pathy with the people of tho west from whom tho support of the Union Pacific comes, but his cold arrogance and obtrustive assumption of indifference have created a hearty dislike for him. The west will not be sorry to hear of his dethronement. |
