Washington, Dec. 8 Jones of Arkansas Ar-kansas offered a resolution which went over, calling on tho attorney general for information as to tho number of supervisors su-pervisors of election appointed for tho first and second congressional districts of Arkansas for the congressional election elec-tion held November 4; the sums paid ! out so far and called for in connection with the election or with any proceedings proceed-ings since the election, ete. Cash offered a resolution, which was referred to the committee on agriculture, agricul-ture, calling on the secretary of agriculture agri-culture for a statement of progress made in the investigation for irrigation purposes. Dawes read portions of a letter written by Leo, census cen-sus Indian agent from' Pine Ridge agency to the interior department, going'to show there was no lack of food among the Sioux. He said he read this to relieve public anxiety and show that t lie Indians are not on the war path on account of a want of supplies. HOUSE. Washington, Dec. 8. The committee commit-tee on judicia-y has reportt d back the Knloe resolution for the arrest tf George Minot, one of the doorkeepers for attemping to violently prevent En-loe's En-loe's exit from the louse during a call of the house in August last.
