In America she is less oppressive; oppres-sive; in France she soon becomes coquettish. coquet-tish. Ilowever, the most elaborate mourning cloak heard of lias lately been made for the Duchesso d'Aosta. It is of heavy silk, trimmed with flat bands of ostrich plumes, and having all its edges finished with fringes of plumes that have a jet band as their heading. New Xork Sun.
