Prizes were won by Ida Mugfur, Carrie Doyle and Lucille Doyle. A two course luncheon was served to eight. J Women's Clubs Banquet Mrs. J. B. Myers, Mrs. Eugene Chandler, Mrs. John E. Dahlstrom and Mrs. Leland Burress attended the Federated women's club ban quel given Tuesday evening at the Hotel Utah. Approximately 250 women, representatives from clubs in eleven western states and Alaska attended the banquet which marked thecloslng of the two-da- y conven-tion of the Western Federation and the opening of the convention of Federated Clubs of Utah held April ; 21-2- Mrs. Dahlstrom, president-elec- t of the Women's Civic club of Binijham. and Mrs. Burress at-tended Tuesday and Wednesday meetings as delegates of the Civic i club. I L. O. S Belief Society The L. D. S. Relief Society held their annual mother's and daugh-ter's social last Tuesday evening. The ward house was attractive with blooming potted plants. Program for the evening was as follows: Com-munity singing with Miss Beverly Johnson as organist and Mrs. Dwain Mitchel directing. The social was presided over by Mrs. Spend-lov- a and Miss Beulah La rsen" con-ducted. Invocation was offered by Miss Eva Wright. Minutes were read and roll called by Acting Secretary Lydia Jenkins. An address of welcome was given by Mrs. Jane Spendlove. Mrs. Lyda B. Dawson was honored as Relief Society Mother. Miss Annie Masters gave Birthday Party Mrs. C. A. Morley entertained at a prettily arranged birthday party honoring her daughter, Darlene, on her eighth birthday at the Morley home Wednesday afternoon Thirty guests were present and spent the afternoon playing games. Prizes were won by Kenneth Hall, Junior Ball and Donald Throckmorten. A color scheme of pink, rose and white was carried out with favors and on the luncheon table. J- - No. 1 Fire Auxiliary Members of No. 1 Fire auxiliary were entertained Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Dormus Lar-son. High score prizes were won by Mrs. Edith Peterson, Mrs. Maurlne Cook and Mrs. May Still-ma- Refreshments were served later In the evening. j Bridge Clubs Meet Mrs. Jack Householder entertained her bridge clubs or. Friday and Tuesday evenings of this week: Nine ladies were present Friday evening and high score bridge prizes were won by Mrs. Jen Householder and Mrs. Dyne Adams. A late sup-per was served. Tuesday evening Mrs. Ross Cush-In- g, Mrs. Tory Tobiason and Mrs. Herb Gust won high score prizes. Refreshments were served late in the evening to eight. II. E. Club Mrs. Laura McDonald entertained the H. E. club at her home Sun-day evening. High score Five Hundred prizes were won by R. E. McElroy, Alger Baum, Mrs. Gert-rude Rogers, Mrs. Baum and Mrs. McElroy. A delicious luncheon was served. . . J-- Nu l Club Mrs. Dee F. Johansen entertained the Nu-- I club at her home on low-er Main street Friday evening. A delightful seven o'clock dinner was served to Miss Vern Baer, Mis Mabel Neprud, Miss Verena Gra-ham, Miss Margaret Ireland, Miss Addie Wright, Mrs. Wynn Raby, Miss Jennie Buchman, Mrs. Odell Teterson, Mrs. William Grant and Mrs. Elliott Evans. Prizes for high scores were awarded to Miss Vern Baer and Miss Verena Graham. Miss Margaret HopkJnson was also present Q. G. G. Club Mrs. W. S. Jones entertained the G. G. G. club at a delightful one o'clock luncheon at the Newhouse hotel In Salt Lake City Thursday. Luncheon was served to twelve. jt No. t Auxiliary Mrs. E. E. Longfellow was host-ess to eleven members of the No. 2 Fire auxiliary Monday evening. Mrs. Tory Tobiason won high score bridge prize and Mrs. West second high. a brief biography of Julia Ward Howe. The following girls furnished numbers on the program: Reading, Ethel Richards; song, Alain Siddo-wa- y; reading. Mavis Garrett. Bene-diction was offered by Donna Joy Nerdin. Refreshments were served to fifty-nin- e guests with Miss Helen Morris and Miss Helen Johnson as hostesses. They were assisted In serving by Lydia Jenkens, Ethel Richards, Donna Ried, Darlene John-son, Alain Siddoway and Donna Joy Nerdin. Honored By Friends Mr. and Mrs. Dormus Larson en-tertained Saturday evening for a number of friends who called to surprise Mr. Larson on his birth-day. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Parker, Mr. and Mrs. George Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Larson, Mr. and Mrs. CHve Siddoway and Mr. and Mrs. George Austin were present. Mr, and Mrs. Dean Larson, Mrs. Siddo-way and Dormus Larson won Five Hundred prizes. Andreason entertained the Attend Murray Party Mr. and Mrs. George MacDonald and Mrs. Ida Mugfur attended a party given Saturday night at Mur-ray by Mrs. Dan Sullivan. J Surprise Party A surprise birthday party was given Mrs. Roger Ball Saturday evening at her home by a group of friends. Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Duane McCandltss, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Throckmorten, Mr. and Mrs. Alvln Hall and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Burns of Midvale. Refreshments were served and the evening spent playing games. J- l- Brldce Club Mrs. Stanley Jacques entertained her bridge club Friday evening at Sturm's cafe.
