Show SURVEY OF PRESENT TOWN LIGHTING TO BE MADE SOON BAND INTEREST PAYMENT MADE; LICENSE GRANTED A survey of the town lighting system for the purpose of determining determin-ing whether or not the town is as effectively lighted as it should be and if improvements are possible without excessive expense - will- be made soon. A decision favoring the survey was made Wednesday eve ning by the town board members during their regular meeting. J. B, Myers and Vern Faddis of the Utah Power Si Light company met with the board members to ask recor.nection of street lights which were disconnected in 1932. Discussion Discus-sion of the lighting system revealed that some of the board members felt that certain portions of town are inadequately lighted and a change in the present system may be necessary. neces-sary. A special representative of the Utah Power & Llghht company will come from Salt Lake City to make a survey with a committee from the town board. Interest Payed A bond interest payment of $275 1 to the Guarantee Trust company for 1 water bonds of 1923 was approved 1 by the board. A balance of $10,000 with interest payments due semiannually semi-annually remains on this bond issue. WPA workers on the Dry Fork water line were recently withdrawn. A few town employed workers are finishing laying of pipe and are removing re-moving the supplies to a storehouse. R. J. Contrato was approved by the board last night as a special commissioned com-missioned police officer hired and payed by the Utah Construction company to work in connection with tunnel workmen. Mr. Contratto will work in cooperation with the local police department. License Given Anton ic B. Rodriguez was given a license to keep a grocery store at 543 Main street. |
