TO RECEIVE NEW AUDITORIUM Garage For Storage Of School Buses Is Also Planned An auditorium and garage for the Bingham high school will be built with a poition of the $177,-750 $177,-750 PWA grant for Jordan school district which was approved this week, according to Dr. c. N. Jensen, Jen-sen, district superintendent. Bids for the work will be advertised ad-vertised as soon as written approval ap-proval from Washington Is received re-ceived by the board of education. The gymnasium at the high school has been used as an auditorium audi-torium since the high school was built in Copperton In 1931. The auditorium at Bingham will have a seating capacity of 1000 and a large modern stage. The garage, will house school buses used to transport students to and from school. A vocational arts building and a stadium are nearing completion comple-tion at the high school. When projects being planned and those underway are completed Bingham Bing-ham will have one of the finest and most attractive high school units in the state. According to a recent board of education report, Jordan school sch-ool district finances are in good shape and the district well able to undertake the building projects pro-jects underway. The budget for 1938-39 recently adopted by the district provided an increase of over 30 per cent in budgeted expenditures ex-penditures to take care of the building program. |
