Show PLAY CENTERS IN JORDAN DISTRICT ATTRACTS MANY Over 28000 Have Attended District Playgrounds This Summer Through Its recreation pro-' pro-' gram the Jordan school district maintains a bureau for the purpose pur-pose of assisting communities, civic and church organizations, and other groups with their recreation re-creation program for special celebrations cel-ebrations or outings, by lending play equipment and furnishing leadership. Eight such organizations organiza-tions have used this service this season. Supt. C. N. Jensen announces that any groups wanting this help should contact their local playground leaders or supervisors, supervis-ors, O. D. Ballard, Dunn Taylor, B. J. Santlstevan, or Orpha Sof-fe. Attendance on Playground Week Ending Totals June 11, 1938 4535 June 18, 1938 5656 June 25, 1938 7187 July 2. 1938 ... 6181 July 9, 1938 4600 Total To Date.... 28,259 For the week ending July 9 playgrounds were closed July 4. There was an attendance of 194 at the Bingham Central playground play-ground and 751 at Copperton. Midvale had 1320 at their recreation recre-ation center which includes a municipal mu-nicipal swimming pool. |
