Show JOINT COMPANIES TO ENTER ILSfJL PARADE AT PRICE I Fresh Air Apparatus Demon-monstrated Demon-monstrated At Joint Meeting Tuesday Jack Coombs of the Universal Safety Appllanco Co. in Suit Lake City Tuesday evening demonstrated demonstra-ted before a Joint Firemen's meeting the new up-to-date fresh air fire fighting apparatus which was authorized purchased by the city council Wednesday night. This equipment enables two firemen fire-men to enter a smoked filled building with the assurance of a a fresh air supply which Is pumped pump-ed from the outside. It was de-cldod de-cldod by the Joint companies to convert the chemical Muck at No. 2 fire hall Into an utility truck which will be used to haul salvage equipment, first aid ma- terlals, fresh air apparatus and other necessary Items to be used t a fire. This request was gent to the city council. Tt" ' was ""unanimously decided that the Joint companies would enter the parade at Price this year, which is to be held at 11 a.m., Aug. 6, in connection with the annual State Firemen's convention. con-vention. Ted Roblson and Wllford Harris were named as committee to select an uniform to be worn. Chiefs Ray Tatton and Art Sorenson reported on receipt of letters from Price requesting a list of convention aattendants filed fil-ed with them before July 22 in order that housing arrangement! can be made. According to reports from Price public dances are scheduled 'for Friday and Saturday nights and an interesting fire fighting demonstration will take place in front of the court house Friday night at 8 o'clock. One of the feature events planned plan-ned is the parade at 11:00 o'clock Saturday morning, all business firms' and organizations being tinged and Invited to enter floats. 'Prizes are to be awarded best floats. Preparations are being made by Price firemen to ertend hospitality to 350 delegates and visitors. The Copperton and Bingham Central school bands will accompany accom-pany the local firemen and No. 1 Fire ladies auxiliary to the convention. |
