COWLES IS GRADUATION SPEAKER HERE Program Given For Commencement Exercises A small Bingham high school senior class, distinguished by their scholastic achievements, will havw their commencement exercises at the high school igyin-nnslum igyin-nnslum at 8:16 p. in. Wednesday, Wednes-day, Muy 18. Dr. Le Roy Cowles, dean of the lower division. University of Utah, will give the commencement commence-ment address. Other program numbers are: An overture, "Calif of nag-dad", nag-dad", high school band; Invocation, Invoca-tion, Jack Householder; Vocal duet. "The Old Refrain", Alice Mullett, Anna Conlsh; Rei Tripp, salutatory address; Beverly Clays, valedictory address; Albert Dunn, trombone solo; Presentation of class, Principal T. .H. McMullin; Presentation of diplomas, Dr. Paul Richards; Class song, "Day, of Days"; Bene, diction, Joe Brown. There are twenty-four members In the class' with eight members mem-bers having a "B" average or better. Six years ago the school ' system In Bingham was chanlged from an eleven to twelve year system. Prior to then there was no seventh grade. To make the change the top ranking students of the sixth grade weTe placed Into a seventh grade. This senior class Is that group. Miss Addle Wright and R. A. Payne are class advisors. . |
