Show A correction in our last issue in the article on the geology of gintic tintic Tin tice tic by professor marcus E 1 jones two serious typographical errors occurred which we hereby take pleasure in correcting in the third column in speak speaking 1 ng of the eureka hilr hill gemini vein the sentence should have read it does not widen out s into immense ore bodies such as we often find in lue lime but V at the bottom of the fifth column the article should read because these ore bodies have been worked out as has occurred in many other mines the owners of the properties have readily sold out in another place the transposition of a line or two of linotype in the makeup make up has resulted in a meaningless sentence a mere jargon of words such errors often occur in the making up of a paper and we take this opportunity of making an explanation so that professor jones may be relieved from any intimation that his article was not well writ ten as one might well imply from a portion of the text as it appeared in the issue referred to |
