familiar with the mining sections of idaho reaching out from hailey and mackay and embracing what is known as the central idaho mineral bearing empire regarding hi his s impressions of the idaho mascot mines mine s mr hayden made the following brief comment and recommendations ions 1 I found that during the period in which chic h the mine was shut down that them the equipment and machinery had been kept in the best of repair repair in fact the machinery was opera operated idd for me during my visit the buildings and camp are also in good shape the mine workings aside from one small cave are such that thai work could be resumed within a fe few i hours time 1 I would recommend continuing the lydia tunnel upon n it its present course as same should within an approximate distance of feet cut t the he lar large ge minera mineralized lazed snow clad fissure this fissure is very prominent has surface I 1 lead e ad silver droppings crop pings and should produce this tunnel after after passing through this fissure if continued upon its course will cut at least four other fissured zones if extended tb the boondry limits of the property all are promising fi 1 would also recommend the contin continuation nation of the west W e s t side tunnel to its objective which is the payin paymaster aster fi fissure assure this fissure should be intersected at an approximate disc dis tance of feet from its present face this fissure has produced T high grade lead silver from the surface working sin commercial quantities and I 1 feel safe in predicting same i should produce at the dep depth th the west side tunnel will a at t of lead silver silve r ore large tonnage tack it a very th the c extension of the through the entire entice and which most of the fissori upon distance of the property ing system of the property is found is one of the ing features in connection with this mine with the resumption of operations co continued upon the course advised the mascot should within the very near nea r fu rivers brodu producing cing mines oc sture ture be oneff wood |
