Show TENABO MINING AND MILLING CO ASSURES NEVADA CAMP NEW LIFE after a dormant period of seventeen years the well known camp of tenabo nevada has again been revived through the activities of the tenabo mining and milling company the stir and activity promises to equal and may far surpass the conditions that existed in this camp during 1907 when it boasted along with lander a population of 1000 people and held within its confines stores and offices rooming houses and restaurants and had its quota of doctors and lawyers assayers and chemists the activities of the new company are under the supervision and have the attention of successful mining engineers their reports the management avers speak volumes for the possibilities of reviving the camp and assures an era of production unrivaled by many and exceeded by few districts similarly identified with existing geological conditions the ore bodies are said to be extensive with a large tonnage of good milling ore already available J 14 MEW J new mill of tenabo M M co the 50 ton stamp mill which the company started to build in november is practically finished J H marshall in charge at the mine mine and george doyle superintendent of construction believe they hold the record in the state of nevada for the time consumed in erecting this type of mill and the officers and directors of the corporation are very much pleased with the work accomplished the miu mill is substantially built as will be seen from the accompanying photograph and will be complete in every detail for early operation as spring approaches it will be equipped with every modern device for the recovery of the yellow metal from the gold bearing ores completion of construction work was hindered only by the temperature hovering between 20 and 40 degrees below zero preceded by a fall of awen twenty ty four inches of snow in this section of nevada that does not mean that these conditions last long in tenabo located twenty three miles south of the humbolt river from the town of beowawe these severe conditions usually occur about the first of the year but do not continue for any length of time signs of spring frequently making their appearance early in in february never again reverting to extreme cold weather conditions until the next winter season the company intends to resume activities in about sixty days and confidently hopes to be on a producing basis two weeks from that date the company is declared to be sound financially financial lv and the management hopes to carry its present program of development through w without any further promotion by the sale of its securities what was once a rich camp will again be opened up by this thi s company it is practically assured that this companas comp anys activity will make it possible and open the way for from thirty to forty miners and leasers leaders to start work on adjoining property in this district during the coming spring |
