Show THE MASCOT WILL SOON ship range news willcox ariz T N mccauley president of the mascot copper company and the mascot and west jt ern railroad D S stevenson vice president and treasurer john A street chief counsel george B land and R thomas of the audit ing department J IF calston president of the central national bank of oakland cal and lester W stevenson accompanied by mrs T N mccauley and mrs mr J p earl carl ston returned from an extended visit to the property wednesday mr and mrs carl s ston ton mrs mccauley and lester stevenson leaving for the coast while the balance ot of the party went to tucson to confer with op of 1 of the southern pacific company relative to matters connected with the new railroad which is being constructed by the mascot ascot Nl and western railroad company when seen by a news representative the party was in excellent spirits over the prospects of the mascot being placed on a producing basis at an early date mr mccauley stated that about twelve miles of grading for the railroad was now completed while about eight miles of rails were laid at the mine the tramway is being pushed to completion so as to be ready for operation simultaneously with the completion of the railroad in the mine the ore is being made ready for extraction and aid it if present plans do not miscarry the property will be on a producing basis within the next sixty days mr carlston who is a heavy stockholder in the company went through the mine and expressed the opinion that it in his estimate tion was destined to become a great producer of copper he had nothing but praise for the property and the efficient management in charge D S stevenson and the balance of the party endorsed the opinions expressed by mr Alc mccauley Cauley and mr carlston and stated that while he had always been confident of the ultimate success of the company etwas it was nevertheless very gratifying to him to find conditions so propitious for an early realization of his most sanguine expectations |
