and the little girl who had been seen ceen in numerous amateur performances was bundled off to the theatre where she sang sang two or three thre songs and sang them well wel That was Miss Williams first appear appearance apper appearance ance in real vaudeville and as a sub substitute substitute she made good Last Lt night she appeared on the regular bill bi in good company and although of course her hermany hermany hermany many local friends contributed their full ful share In the applause Millie Wil Williams Wi hams liams lams scored an unqualified success She is the same winsome little girl gir who has delighted Salt Lake audiences on Sal many occasions and her art and voice have improved and she has a cleverly con cos costumed cs turned and well wel arranged act act First she sings The Rosary Rosar and then a schoolgirl song and then she introduces a novelty novely in an airship No lavish use of superlatives is necessary necessary sary to sum up the te bill bi as a Bungalow last night in Quo Vadis a drama of the days of o Nero Ner which has run the gamut of a decade dede and still holds Its Is commanding position as a one of ot the fore foremost most moat mot dramas dras on the American stage tage Headed by John ohn Ince and Miss Bertha Berta Creighton Crelghton the company presents a strong front front and the rendition of the drama was even better beter than could have been expected on so s small a stage Wil William Wi Wilham liam lam ham Belfort Belor as as Petronius takes a position position tion ton as strong as a that of Mr Ur Ince and ad shows himself to be an actor of true himsel merit meri His difficult role is well wel acted and brought forth round after ater round of applause during some of the most strident str dent scenes sene of the play Harold Ken Kennedy Kennoy nedy nody noy as Nero did more than creditably and has added adde many more to his list of friends The acting throughout was of ot a high character for a stock organization and ad speaks well wel for the plays to come from the Arington company There was wan not the crowd last night which the playing merited merie and it I is probable that tha the seats set will wi be better beter filled during the re remainder remainder remainder of the week There are of course a few ragged spots In the act actIng acting Ing lug but the first were more than pleased ples with wih the general work And it is certain that these ragged ends will be smoothed down In the next per performance performance performance or two There are six acts to the play playas as given by b the Arington players lasting for more than three thre hours and a half But it is difficult to see s where the play ply could be b cut down appreciably The scenes are complete in spite of the size siz
