continual enjoyment and enlightenment Never before did I understand the future that is before you in the possible development of your won wonderful wonderful wonderful state Never before did I realize the industry and energy and enterprise and courage of your citizens and It is a great pleasure to me as an American to find here on this large expanse of terri tern territory territory tory so much mit it to you in a confidential way that I II I did not think there was much out here herein I in Utah except some very ery energetic and anda I Ia a most hopeful people and some pretty good mines and a good deal of salt water in Salt lake but to find such an opportunity opportunity for development in every direction so 80 much water power such mineral minerai wealth and above all an such an agricultural I tural future is indeed a revelation and andone andone andone one that takes away that fear that we have begun to have in the east as agricultural agricultural tural products go up that somehow or other the food resources of this country were becoming so low that some of us might have to cut down our rations Perhaps you think with some of us this would not be a bad idea Well I agree to that proposition but I r can tell you it is a good deal easier easier to furnish a regime for somebody else than to keep that regime yourself Another development here that I see on every hand is the tho insistence by your people on the education of the children This whole trip from the time I struck Chicago until now has been I had al ai almost almost most said strewn with beautiful well dressed healthful children and when the I children are all right everybody else Is all right in the community You any race suicide here that I have hae been able to discover and your children occupy
