He is, in connection with Judge Drunimond, preparing a bill for a new judi :iary law, which he intends introducing at the coming session of congress. Judge Davis will complete Iho bill after he reaches Washington. Itcontemplatesa complete com-plete change in many branches of the federal judiciary, which Judge Davis leeis ia in need of some reform. It is his pet scheme and will work strenuously strenu-ously to secure the passage of tho hill. He is in excellent health and leaves for Washington to-night. Senator OgleBby is also here and will leave for Washington on Saturday. Satur-day. Hon. W. F. Colbaugh, who baa been in Europe with General Grant, has just returned. He expresses himself gratified with the manner in which the ex-president is representing this country abroad, and says it would be impossible for a man in a public position to act with more propriety than he does in all bin relations with those he meets. |
