At 5 o'clock Tuesday morning Presi dent Young's symptoms were decidedly de-cidedly worse, appearances of irjflam malion of the bowels being apparent, with great pain and difficulty oi breathing. During the forenoon many members mem-bers of bid family called t Bee him. Towards noon the symptoms were regarded as more favorable, and be took some slight nourishment with apparent relish. Though very wrak he expressed Btroog confidence in hie 1 recovery. Up to the middlo of the afternoon his mind wbb quite clear; he recognized friends, and quite frequently fre-quently spoke to them. Towards evening he slept occasionally and was conscious, except at intervals, up to our latest report. Since early evening there ban been little change in his condition, except a gradual sinking. There is no disguising dis-guising tbe fact that he is lying t the point of doatb, and bis recovery is exceedingly doubtful. |
